This is a stunning little book produced by James Maturin-Baird. A collection of monochrome photographs, bound together in jewel of a book.  All for the benefit of Colchester Neo-Natal unit, where James' son started his life. As indeed did mine, and you will find a beautiful photo of my boy in there too, taken this year just before his 18th birthday.

I got a Golden Ticket !

FIRSTSITE opens next Sunday 25th Sept, and I have a Golden Ticket to the preview day on Friday 23rd Huzzah ! (Along with everyone else in Colchester it seems!!)
Long awaited opening, after endless hold ups it seems, Colchester will now be the proud owner of the most wonderful Arts Centre. It's all very exciting. Not only is it , I hope, the start of a regeneration of a pretty daggy part of town, but also the venue for some really interesting creative stuff. Can't wait.

The Brightlingsea Art Trail is on this weekend, as part of the Open Studios days. Some really great work on show, so if you get a chance go and have a look.
